The weaving room at the ARCC (Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural ) has received a wonderful gift. A 45″ weaving-width Colonial Loom made by Leclerc Looms!

It came completely disassembled. This photo shows less than half of the pieces. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture before I started to assemble it.

She's all put together!
Come see her and all the other looms at the ARCC’s “Open House”
Sept. 10th, 10am – 2pm

When I first got the commission to weave a custom tablecloth, my first step was talking with the client to find out the type of style he wanted for their table/dining room and the colors to be used. The colors were chosen from their China and style was “FolkArt” I began the design process using my computer program to plot my ideas.

I’m alive and still weaving and teaching! I just haven’t been posting and keeping you up to date. For which I apologize for. I’ve been commissioned to weave a custom table cloth large enough to serve 12 people plus matching napkins. My client sent me this picture of the red and white tablecloth as an example of the style he wants. Please note: I did not weave this and I can’t give the weaver the personal credit due. I’m sorry, but I have no idea who wove it. The white cloth with the gold and blue pattern is one of my samples. Over the next few weeks I will get you all up to speed on my process from the beginning, and the final project has yet to be completed. I hope you’ll enjoy this as much as I do.
Happy Weaving!
